About Unclaimed Funds

A company or person for a range of reasons will leave money in a financial institution, insurance company or government authority. Specifically moving home and the institution doesn’t have the new address. When the institution can’t locate the owner of the money it is then placed in a Government trust account. When the funds are not claimed within a certain time frame (who often is unaware of the situation) the funds become Government Revenue. The sources or reason for the unclaimed funds can be from:

  • Unclaimed cheques / Dividends
  • Overpayments
  • Company takeovers
  • Deceased Estates
  • Council / construction Bonds
  • Dormant bank accounts

The process of recovering these funds can be complex depending on the circumstances. With the knowledge and experience gained within Prime Funds Recovery, we enable a smooth and prompt return of these funds on be-half of clients.

The signing of the Authority form enables Prime Funds Recovery to work with the holding organisation or department (on the owners behalf) to verify the rightful owners of the funds and ensure the funds are released in a timely manner (and not forgotten again !!).

Our Fees:

Prime funds recovery don’t charge ANY upfront fees. We only charge a percentage of the total amount at the successful recovery of the funds. That means it there are no “out of pocket” costs for us to process your claim !!
